Eastern regions of the country will be impacted by a potent winter storm that will lead to deterioration travel conditions. Heavy snowfall and/or freezing rain/ice pellets to start as early as this afternoon for Ontario and continue into Thursday as it makes its way across eastern Canada. Up to 30cm expected in some regions with peak snowfall rates in excess of 5cm per hour. ALL NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL SHOULD BE POSTPONED! Extensive road closures are almost a guarantee by Thursday.
