Heavy fog for regions of eastern AB and western SK – set to to dissipate later this morning – until the dense fog clears, visibility in these areas will limited to zero.

MANITOBA

Northern region roadways in the Thompson area are covered / partly snow covered – winter driving conditions.

NOVA SCOTIA

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather StatementAn Intense low pressure system is expected to track southeast of Nova Scotia Thursday night and Friday. This low pressure system will tap into tropical moisture today and Thursday as it intensifies and tracks northeastward towards Atlantic Canada. Periods of heavy rain and strong winds are possible over eastern Nova Scotia Thursday night and Friday morning as the low passes by.”

NEWFOUNDLAND / LABRADOR

A Special Weather Statement has been issued by Environment Canada –Rain at times heavy and strong winds are expected. Total rainfall: 70 to 100 mm, with locally higher amounts possible. Maximum wind gusts: 70 to 80 km/h, with locally higher gusts possible. Hazardous driving conditions from water pooling on roadways – road shoulder erosion and washouts – elevated water levels in creeks and streams – delays and cancellations of ferry services Remarks: A low pressure system is expected to tap into tropical moisture as it intensifies and tracks near or across eastern Newfoundland later this week.
