Weather Advisory issued for the following regions:
Environment Canada has released the following statement – “Winter weather travel advisory in effect. Snow is expected until Wednesday morning. Additional snowfall amounts from 5 to 10 centimetres are possible locally, especially over higher terrain. Without winter tires, it is better to wait until roads are cleared before driving. Also, remember to allow for longer travel times. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.”
NEWFOUNDLAND / LABRADOR
Trans Labrador Highway through Churchill Valley and Eagle River under a Special Weather Statement by Environment Canada.
ECC has advised – “The first accumulating snowfall of the season is expected. Locations: Trans Labrador Highway through Churchill Valley and Eagle River. Total snowfall: 5 to 10 cm with locally higher amounts possible, especially over elevated terrain. Time span: late this morning until Wednesday morning. Remarks: Snowfall accumulations are expected to vary significantly with elevation as temperatures hold within a degree or so of the freezing mark. Over lower elevations, the snow will likely mix with rain at times. Anyone planning travel should be prepared for winter driving conditions.”
