LONDON, ON – Extensive flooding in the downtown and surrounding areas

HEAT WARNINGS CONTINUE ACROSS THE COUNTRY

A period of very warm and humid weather continues. Maximum daytime temperatures: 29 to 31 degrees Celsius (Humidex 36 to 39).

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING issued for the below by Environment Canada.  Warnings state the following:

  • ON (Lambton Shores and surrounding areas, London and surrounding areas)
    • At 8:43 AM EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from Lambton Shores to Newbury, moving east at 60 km/h. Hazard: Toonie size hail and 90 km/h wind gusts. Locations impacted include: Parkhill, Strathroy, Melbourne, Mount Brydges, Komoka, Komoka Provincial Park, Ilderton, Shedden, Kerwood, Sable, Adelaide, Glencoe, Springbank, Appin, Nairn, Ailsa Craig, Poplar Hill, Denfield, Delaware and Southwold.
