Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for Northern, Ontario. Winds up to 110 km/hour and ping pong sized hail possible. Transport along Highway 11 and Highway 17 may be delayed due to dangerous / life threatening weather conditions.

Local OPP are requesting that non-essential travel in and around the Huntsville, ON region is avoided as a result of yesterdays storm. Power outages and downed trees and hydro poles are affecting the area.

CROSSING RESTRICTIONS ATLANTIC CANADA – MAY 4, 2026
Severe high winds in Atlantic Canada have caused ferry cancellations and crossing restrictions on both CONFEDERATION BRIDGE and CANSO CAUSEWAY. High sided vehicles are currently not able to cross resulting in transport and delivery delays in NL, Cape Breton and PE.
BORDER CROSSING DELAYS – U.S (ACE) – APRIL 30, 2026
ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) U.S which is used to clear freight entering the United States is experiencing a system wide issue. IT teams are working to resolve the issue however there is currently no ETA for restoration. Delays expected for shipments attempting to enter the US.
