SASKATCHEWAN

TRAVEL NOT RECOMMENDED as the province deals with the impact of the first major snowfall.  More snow expected – 10-20 cm accompanied by wind gusts of 60-80 km/hr.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Environment Canada has advised – “A significant fall storm is set to impact Vancouver Island / Lower Mainland beginning today. A rapidly deepening low pressure system will arrive approximately 400 km southwest of Vancouver Island by late this afternoon. This low is forecast to then curl northwards on Wednesday towards the Central Coast, remaining offshore through the period. Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds.”

Southern regions of the provincial highways partly snow and/or ice covered.  Commutes may be delayed in and around the City of Calgary.

MANITOBA

Hazardous driving conditions expected as a significant winter storm travels over western Manitoba into tomorrow – 15-30cm snow expected combined with northwesterly wind gusts of 70 km/hr.
