BRITISH COLUMBIA

Wind Warning in effect for Metro Vancouver – southern sections near the Strait of Georgia including Richmond, Delta, and Surrey -Greater Victoria -Southern Gulf Islands -East Vancouver Island -Sunshine Coast.

Environment Canada has advised the potential for – “Strong southeast winds near 70 km/h with gusts 90 to 100 km/h. -Utility outages may occur. -Potential for travel disruptions and delays.”

Rainfall Warning issued for Northern sections of Metro Vancouver including West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows. -Howe Sound.

ECC has stated – “Total rainfall amounts ranging from 50 to 90 mm. -Water pooling on roads. -Travel may become difficult in areas of heavy rain. -Increased risk of washout, rockfall, and landslides.”

NEWFOUNDLAND / LABRADOR

Rainfall Warning in effect for Avalon Peninsula. “Rain expected to continue through Thursday. Some areas may see a brief break in the rain this morning, before reintensifying this afternoon. The heaviest rainfall is expected between Tuesday night and Thursday afternoon. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.” according to Environment Canada.
