EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MANITOBA TO NEW BRUNSWICK! 

Dress warmly. Dress in layers that you can remove if you get too warm. The outer layer should be wind resistant. Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.

ONTARIO

Snow Squall Warning in effect for regions off Lake Huron and Bruce Peninsula with up to 40 cm possible. Road closures expected in these areas.

Highway 21 currently closed in the Kincardine area.

NEWFOUNDLAND / LABRADOR

Snow Squall Warning issued.  Environment Canada advises – “A prolonged period of snow squalls producing blizzard-like conditions is expected.Conditions are favourable for the development of intense snow squalls. Visibility may be reduced to near zero for extended periods as strong westerly winds accompany the squalls. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.”
