The strong winds will develop this morning then ease this afternoon when the front weakens. Southeast 70 km\/h gusting to 90 over exposed coastal areas<\/p>\n<p><strong>MANITOBA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Churchill under <strong>Wind Warning<\/strong> &#8211; up to 90 km\/h of northwest winds expected to begin this afternoon. Utility outages may occur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONTARIO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rainfall Warning<\/strong> in effect for Sault Ste Marie and surrounding regions &#8211; ECC has advised &#8220;Total rainfall amounts near 60 mm are expected, with slightly higher amounts possible in embedded thunderstorms. Rain will taper and transition to scattered showers or flurries Thursday night into Friday morning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Environment Canada has issued a <strong>Special Weather Statement<\/strong> for northern portions of northeastern regions. ECC has concluded &#8211; &#8220;Snow may be mixed with ice pellets or freezing rain at times Thursday afternoon and evening, particularly for areas from Wawa to Timmins. Snow is expected to taper to flurries Friday morning.
