Advisory by Environment Canada states – “A strong Pacific frontal system will begin pushing into the BC interior this morning. Southerly/southeasterly winds associated with the warm front will create gusty winds Monday morning into the afternoon. Snowfall Warning – ECC has issued the following statements – “Heavy snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected in southeastern Alberta on Tuesday. Localized amounts of up to 25 cm are possible, particularly over the Cypress Hills.
Snow is expected in southwestern Saskatchewan on Tuesday as a low pressure system from Alberta moves across the region. While most areas can expect anywhere from 2-5 cm of snow, upslope northerly winds over the Cypress Hills will result in enhanced snowfall accumulations approaching 15 cm by Tuesday evening. Winds gusting to 60-70 km/h will give very poor visibility in snow and blowing snow. The snow will taper off and winds diminish Tuesday night.”
