Multiple weather warnings in effect for the province. Wind (central/southwest), Freezing Rain (northern), Snowfall (northern – up to 15cm) and Winter Storm (northern). Delays expected due to potential hazardous road conditions. Environment Canada has advised that non-essential travel should be postponed until conditions improve.
SASKATCEHWAN
Multiple weather warnings issued for central regions of the province. Winter Storm, Freezing Rain and Snowfall (up to 20cm). Conditions may pose dangerous travel and all non-essential travel should be postponed. Transit and delivery delays expected.
MANITOBA
Northern and eastern regions of the province under Snowfall warning (up 15 cm). Environment Canada has issued the following statement – “Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.”
ONTARIO
Ottawa region under winter weather travel advisory – up to 10cm expected to tape by evening. Northwestern regions can expected significant snowfall tonight which may affect transit times.
NOVA SCOTIA
Rainfall warning until Friday afternoon – up to 50mm possible resulting in possible transit delays due to localized flooding and pooling water on roadways.
NEWOUFNDLAND / LABARDOR
Rainfall/Snowfall warning in effect for western regions of the province. – Flash flooding may result in transit delays.
