Canadian Transit & Weather Updates – December 9, 2025

ALBERTA

Northwestern regions remain under snowfall warning with up to 30 cm expected.  Transportation delays possible due to poor road conditions and reduced visibility.

SASKATCHEWAN

Transportation and delivery delays in regions south of of Moose Jaw due to Road Closures and Travel advisories.  Multiple collisions in these areas.  Non-essential travel should be postponed.  Snowfall warning into Wednesday morning issued  – up to 20cm expected.

MANITOBA

Poor road conditions and reduced visibility in western and northwestern regions of the province may contribute to transportation delays. These regions currently under a snowfall warning with up to 20cm expected into Wednesday morning.

ONTARIO

HWY 17 from Batchawana Bay to Wawa CLOSED due to weather conditions. HWY 11 from Cochrane to Kapuskasing CLOSED also due to weather conditions and multiple collisions.  Highways in the following areas may be difficult to travel later today due to poor conditions – Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Markham, Pickering, Oshawa.  As we head into the early morning hours we may see poor travel conditions in the form Simcoe to Cambridge as well as regions north of Barrie.

QUEBEC

Southern regions of the province may experience transportation delays in tomorrow afternoon into the RUSH hour and well into Thursday morning due to a special weather statement issued by Environment Canada advising of blowing snow with an accumulation of up to 15cm.

NEWFOUNDLAND

TCH currently under TRAVEL NOT RECOMMENDED advisory northeast of Port Aux Basques to North Branch.

MARINE ATLANTIC CANADA

Ferry crossing cancellations continue for this afternoon and tomorrow morning.
