NORTHWEST TERRITORIES

Thebacha Region including Ft. Smith – Salt River Reserve – 10-15 cm of snow expected with snow falling at rates of 2-3 cm per hour into the afternoon.  Reduced visibility may contribute to transportation delays.

BRITISH COLUMBIA / ALBERTA / SASKATCHEWAN

Freezing rain warning in effect for regions along Highway 52.  Icy surfaces may lead to hazardous road conditions and result in transportation delays.  Northeast regions of Alberta can expect up 15 cm of rapidly accumulating snow – motorists should allow extra time for travel. Northwest regions of Saskatchewan under the same snowfall warning.

ONTARIO

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for regions form Lake Huron across to Lake Erie.  Visibility may be suddenly reduced to zero and road closures are possible. 401 from Woodstock to Southwold may likely to face deteriorating road conditions as we progress through the day.  Transportation delays possible.

Barrie and surrounding regions under a winter weather  travel advisory.  Sudden weather changes my contribute to hazardous conditions although conditions are expect to improve throughout the day.

NEWFOUNDLAND

Ferry crossings have been cancelled for today due to adverse weather conditions.
